All about community and connection

We do not close our doors to the outside world at Drymmau Hall. Our strong community thrives on an approach that recognises that the personal growth and happiness of those we care for is built on developing and maintaining links with the wider world. Inside our doors, we ensure that the time to listen, and respect, are at the heart of the social interactions between people living and working with us. Bringing the world to Drymmau and taking Drymmau to the world, has built our distinctive, stimulating and sustainable community.

Our community – care and connections

Our community at Drymmau Hall is seen as one: the coming together of all the people living and working at the home. Our staff works cohesively as a team with the common purpose of reinforcing family values, and to create an atmosphere of trust and respect to support and care for the people living in our home. By embracing those who live in our home in this way, strong relationships are forged and people feel confident to develop themselves personally and to make other social interactions within Drymmau Hall, and the wider community.

Our community – interpersonal and interactive

At Drymmau Hall we see our staff and those we care for as part of a large family of interdependent adults. We are a happy home. We all have so much to gain from each other so we work hard to promote and maintain social interactions to develop interpersonal skills based on mutual respect and trust. Caring, and being cared for, are reciprocal, promoting a feeling of social wellbeing, and healthy and positive relationships between those at Drymmau Hall and with those in the wider community.

  • “There is always something going on and everyone is welcome to get involved.”

Our community – rich and rewarding

Drymmau Hall does not exist in a vacuum and is an integral part of the local community. We aim to offer those in our care the rich and rewarding activities that nurture personal growth in meaningful ways through interactions with that wider world. We bring a wealth of experiences in to the people we care for at Drymmau Hall (linking them with local schools, churches, choirs etc.) and make sure we take our people out into the world to connect with things that interest and stimulate them, all with the help of our team of innovative community volunteers and our very own Drymmau Hall community mini-bus.
